Beach Cat, there’s no better place to ring in another year than right on the water, and on Wednesday, June 17th, we did exactly that. We headed down to the Bellingham waterfront to celebrate Brady’s birthday at Beach Cat Brewing’s fantastic secondary spot, “Southpaw.”
If you haven’t checked out their C Street location yet, you’re missing out on one of the coolest taproom vibes in town. Situated right on the downtown waterfront with an expansive, sun-soaked dock overlooking Bellingham Bay, it’s the perfect spot to transition into those long Pacific Northwest summer evenings.
Catching Catsquatch Fever at Beach Cat in Bellingham

True to Beach Cat’s signature style of naming their creations after our favorite feline overlords, they had something special on tap that perfectly matched the birthday energy: Catsquatch Fever.
Tasting Note: Catsquatch Fever delivers a massive, hop-forward profile that perfectly captures the untamed, legendary spirit of the PNW woods. It balances bright citrus notes with a solid, resinous pine backbone, exactly what you want to be sipping while staring out at the Salish Sea.
We grabbed a couple of pints, caught up on the deck, and toasted to Brady hitting another milestone. Between the killer bay views, the crisp salt air, and a phenomenal local pour, it easily ranks as one of the best mid-week birthday celebrations we’ve had in a long time.

If you’re looking for prime dockside seating, excellent craft variety, and an all-ages, dog-friendly spot to spend a sunny June afternoon, Beach Cat has firmly earned its place in the Bellingham rotation.
WeeBeers cheers to Brady! May your year ahead be as legendary as a Catsquatch sighting!
