One evening, prior to singing Karaoke, Wee found ourselves at Bottled Blonde, a high-octane mix of an upscale sports bar, live band venue, and a rooftop party. While listening to the band, we ordered a couple of pints of Atomic Duck IPA from Able Baker Brewing.
The Atomic Duck IPA
Sipping this at Bottled Blonde is a bit of a trip. You’ve got the industrial-chic vibe of the bar, the massive LED screens showing three different games at once, and an audience totally focused on the stage.
The Atomic Duck IPA is a classic American IPA that hits you with a vibrant punch of citrus and pine. It’s a craft beer with a solid malt presence that keeps the hops from being too abrasive with an unapologetic, crisp, and dry balance.
Why Able Baker Brewing Works at Bottled Blonde
Bottled Blonde is all about “high energy.” It’s loud, it’s fun, and it’s right in the heart of the action. You need a brew with a high enough ABV (7%) to match the intensity of the room, but enough flavor to actually make you want to slow down and enjoy the moment.
Wee Verdict: If you find yourself at Bottled Blonde, or anywhere they have Able Baker Brewing on tap. Go for the Duck. It’s bold, it’s reliable, and it’s a pure IPA.
