After work Wednesday, Wee embarked on a mini-adventure to a place we’ve been meaning to visit: Gasworks Brewing in Seattle.

Nestled right on the edge of Lake Union, Gasworks Brewing offers some truly spectacular views. We snagged a couple of lounge chairs on the bulkhead at the edge of the water with a view of downtown Seattle. The twinkle of the city lights on the water provided a relaxing ambiance coupled with the techno heartbeat coming from the sound system. It was a good start of the night for craft beer and great company.

We kicked things off with a Dance Floor Hazy, a classic choice that delivered on its promise of juicy, hazy goodness. But the real surprise of the night came next: the PB & Banana Sour. Now, I’ll admit, the combination sounded a bit out there, but we were absolutely blown away by how good and incredibly smooth-drinking it was. It had that sour bite at first taste, but the banana smoothed it out to make it a very drinkable sour! We rounded out our Gasworks Brewing experience with the Splash Landing Hazy, another solid choice that had us savoring every sip.
Wee thought the photo of the Splash Landing (the featured image) turned out great as an expression of how good the craft beer is at Gasworks Brewing!
The Night Continues: Fremont Brewing & Beyond Craft Beer
At about 8:30 we realized we needed to head over to the legendary Fremont Brewing before they closed. We were there for one specific mission: to try their Extra Lush Triple IPA. It was bold, hop-heavy, and exactly what you’d expect from a world-class Triple, definitely hit the spot, as Wee do love a good 3xIPA!

Ending on a High Note
To wrap up our evening, we headed over to Palmers East in Redmond which is on my way home. As you will come to know about Brady and I, Wee can’t have a night out drinking great craft beer without a little bit of karaoke! We spent the rest of the night cheering on the locals and taking our own turns at the mic. It was the perfect ending to a fantastic Seattle night.
From the quiet lakeside views of Gasworks Brewing to the karaoke floor of Palmers East, this mini-adventure reminded us why we love this city any night of the week.
